Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Manager to lead the development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-wide Business Continuity (BC), Continuity of Operations (COOP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the resilience of critical Medicaid functions and technology services during disruptions by coordinating recovery efforts across internal teams, IT partners, vendors, and contractors. Your expertise will help develop robust plans, conduct risk assessments, and lead simulations to validate readiness. You will also oversee vendor recovery strategies, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide training to various business units to foster a prepared and resilient organization.
Top Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Crisis Management
- Strong knowledge of COOP methodologies and DR frameworks (NIST, FEMA, ISO 22301)
- Proven experience conducting BIAs, risk assessments, and continuity planning for mid-to-large organizations
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and backup/recovery technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, incident response, and compliance standards like HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001
- Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
