Job summary

Capax RM is seeking a Senior Business Central Developer to join its Microsoft Gold Partner practice. You will design, build, and maintain BC extensions in AL, while also guiding migrations from GP and NAV to modern BC environments.

You will work on a mix of new implementations and migrations, collaborating with functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and to deliver scalable client-ready deployments.

Senior Business Central Developer | Microsoft Gold Partner

The Opportunity

A long-standing Microsoft Dynamics Partner is looking to hire a Senior Business Central Developer as they continue to grow their BC practice.

This will be only their second full-time Developer hire, joining at a time when they're seeing a strong pipeline of Business Central projects, particularly businesses moving from Dynamics GP to Business Central.

You'll get exposure to a mixture of new implementations, GP and NAV migrations, upgrades, development projects and ongoing client support rather than being tied to one environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop and maintain Business Central extensions and customisations in AL, working across new implementations as well as existing client environments requiring additional functionality.
• Play a key technical role across Dynamics GP and NAV to Business Central migrations, including rebuilding legacy functionality, developing extensions and helping move long-standing Dynamics customers onto modern cloud BC environments.
• Work across both Business Central and legacy NAV environments, using AL alongside C/AL where required to support existing customers, upgrades and migration projects.
• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and third-party applications, working with APIs, web services and other integration methods depending on the client environment.
• Work closely with functional consultants throughout the project lifecycle, taking requirements through technical design, development, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Support an established client base with troubleshooting, enhancements and ongoing development, alongside larger implementation and migration projects.

What You'll Bring

• Strong hands-on Business Central development experience with AL, ideally alongside previous NAV and C/AL experience.
• Experience developing extensions, custom functionality and integrations within Business Central.
• Previous involvement in implementations, upgrades or NAV/GP to Business Central migration projects.
• Comfortable working across both project delivery and ongoing customer support.
• Able to work directly with functional consultants and translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
