Job summary

DataMasters is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to lead the modernization of our ERP platform, migrating from Dynamics NAV to Business Central On-Premise. This hands-on role partners with the existing team to drive development, integrations, and upgrade strategies while aligning with business stakeholders.

You will design AL extensions, manage data migrations, and ensure reliable deployments across manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Dynamics NAV and Business Central development experience.
• Advanced AL development with working knowledge of legacy C/AL.
• Strong SQL Server and API integration skills.
• Experience delivering BC upgrade or migration projects in manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, warehouse, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Development, enhancement, and support of our Business Central environment while maintaining legacy NAV customizations as needed.
• Design scalable AL extensions, optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and establish development standards that reduce technical debt and improve long-term maintainability.
• Drive the migration strategy from legacy NAV to Business Central On-Premise by evaluating existing customizations, converting C/AL objects to AL where appropriate, planning version upgrades, managing data migration, coordinating testing, and ensuring a seamless production deployment with minimal business disruption.
• Design and maintain integrations between Business Central and key enterprise applications including warehouse management, manufacturing, EDI, shipping, CRM, SQL Server, REST APIs, Power BI, and other third-party business systems to ensure reliable data flow across the organization.

(prefer local candidates for onsite as needed initially, moving to more remote days)

Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

to lead the technical evolution of our ERP platform from a legacy Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment to Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premise.

Hands-on role will partner with existing team own ERP development, system integrations, application architecture, and upgrade strategy while partnering with business stakeholders to modernize the platform over the next 18 months.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
