Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Business Banking Underwriter IV to underwrite Business Banking loans, assessing creditworthiness and compliance with lending policy. This role supports a pipeline of work and handles complex credits up to $10MM with single-approval authority up to $4MM.

You will collaborate with credit and risk teams, train and mentor newer hires, and act as a back-up for the manager. The workplace offers a flexible office setting with occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of business or commercial underwriting.
• Experience underwriting in a centralized lending environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports Business Banking production by maintaining an individual pipeline of work.
• Reviews all financial and credit application information to make sound credit decisions.
• Underwrites loans with complex credit structures and exposure up to $10MM.
• Uses single approval authority up to $4MM.
• Assesses risk profile of borrowers.
• Mentors new hires and supports UW family development as needed.
• Collaborates with credit and risk to meet department goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
