Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a senior, hands-on Business Analyst to work across complex change programmes spanning enterprise systems, OT, data platforms and customer digital solutions. You will operate at strategic and delivery levels, mentoring others and defining direction to maximise business value from technology investments.

Based at the Severn Trent Centre Head Office in Coventry, the role is 37 hours per week with office-based and flexible home-working options in a caring culture that values

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst within a technology-led environment.
• Proven track record on complex systems, integrations, or large transformation programmes.
• Strong experience in Agile or hybrid delivery at scale.
• Confidence engaging senior business and technology stakeholders and influencing without authority.
• Ability to move between strategic thinking and detailed delivery with an outcomes focus.
• Experience using AI tools to improve requirements discovery and governance while protecting data.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis across multi-workstream technology programmes.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and delivery leads to shape end-to-end solutions.
• Own the analysis approach for projects, setting BA standards and best practices.
• Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to define problems, outcomes and options.
• Translate strategic objectives, regulatory needs and operations into delivery artefacts.
• Define current and future state processes, systems and data flows.
• Support prioritisation and decision-making with clear value trade-offs.
• Mentor and coach other Business Analysts to uplift capability.
