Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a fully remote role focused on VA projects. The candidate will lead requirements capture for software teams, document in ALM tools, and manage backlog within SAFe/Agile frameworks. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to collaborate with IT, leadership, and stakeholders.

Minimum 10 years of experience, Master’s degree, and U.S. Citizenship required. Security clearance for Public Trust (MBI) is noted.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software development and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Attention to detail, customer service orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience conducting independent research to support complex questions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
• Document requirements in an ALM tool (JIRA) and manage backlog items.
• Perform Agile requirement management for a product team and refine backlog.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers to assess impact on technical solutions.
• Write and deliver project documents to the client and manage risks.
