Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Requirements Lead to support VA projects in a remote, U.S.-based role. You will lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams and document requirements in ALM tools; collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to elicit and refine needs; ensure traceability and backlog readiness.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in Agile/SAFe environments, strong communication, Jira expertise, and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

Strong background in software development and SAFe/Scaled Agile frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customers and stakeholders.
High attention to detail, customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Experience conducting independent research to resolve complex questions.
Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel.
Analytical thinker with ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
Expertise with JIRA and ALM tools.
Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
Elaborate user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements.
Conduct user interviews, lead sessions, and develop process models and specifications.
Gather and document requirements from customers, team, stakeholders, and contractors.
Elaborate user stories, decompose backlog items, and define acceptance criteria.
Use ALM tool (JIRA) for Requirements, Testing, and Defect Management.
Track system and business requirements, validate, and coordinate change control.
Coordinate with Systems Engineers to assess impact on solutions and manage risk.
Develop and maintain project/product backlogs and deliver status metrics.
Becoming a product SME and mentor junior analysts; maintain traceability to tests.
Support change control processes and ensure clear communication to teams.
