Job summary

IntelliBee in Columbia, SC seeks an Advanced Business Analyst/QA to perform BA and QA in an Agile environment, gathering requirements, analyzing business needs, and translating them into clear specifications for developers and testers. The role collaborates with program staff, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure tested solutions meet requirements.

The position covers both business analysis and quality assurance activities, including test design, execution, defect tracking and validation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with business process analysis, requirements documentation, workflow development and stakeholder communication.
• 5+ years of experience with software QA/testing experience, including test design, execution, defect tracking, reporting and test-result documentation.
• 7+ years of experience of software analysis/testing and customized test procedure experience.
• 2+ years of experience in business process design.
• 5+ years of experience with each of the following tools: TFS, Visual Studio, SQL Server, MS Project, Balsamiq, Microsoft Office and legacy systems
• Previous experience working within State, Federal, and/or local government

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and refine business and technical requirements, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Map business processes and workflows; prepare functional specifications, diagrams, reports and user documentation.
• Evaluate existing practices, system capabilities and controls; recommend improvements and resolve requirement gaps.
• Translate policy and operational needs for technical teams and explain technical changes to business stakeholders.
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts and test cases for new or modified software, including regression and integration testing.
• Validate solutions against documented requirements and quality standards; identify, record, track and retest defects.
• Review application logs, database records and performance data to investigate errors and verify expected behavior.
• Create automated tests and maintain test suites when appropriate; document test coverage, outcomes and corrections.
• Coordinate with development teams on defect resolution, release readiness, user acceptance and post-implementation validation.
