Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Business Analyst to analyze existing systems, translate business requirements into design solutions, and deliver project management services. You will collaborate with stakeholders to document detailed requirements and drive improvements across multiple processes.

The role emphasizes working within an Agile environment, creating functional designs, and ensuring comprehensive testing and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of IT experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proficient with system/application design and end user support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to develop and document requirements and specifications.
• Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work as a team player.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated.
• Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements for process or system solutions spanning multiple domains and document details for the development team.
• Break down partner stories and requirements into backlog items for developers and ensure understanding of each requirement.
• Maintain business process documentation and ensure traceability.
• Ensure documentation is complete and stored properly.
• Collaborate with analysts and scrum teams for consistency in processes and documentation.
• Provide functional design specifications for new development and major enhancements.
• Work with designers to create interfaces that satisfy business requirements.
• Develop and maintain functional test cases and automated test scripts for load/regression testing.
• Provide acceptance criteria for requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Review and remediate defects from regression and load testing.
• Document and assign defects from testing.
