Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to analyze systems and processes, translate requirements into designs, and drive improvements across multiple business domains. You will partner with stakeholders, document delivery details, and ensure traceability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Scrum teams, creating functional specs, and supporting testing and user acceptance. A strong BI environment experience and mentoring ability are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 4 years of IT experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proficient with system/application design and end user support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to develop and document requirements and specifications.
• Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work as a team player.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated.
• Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements for process or system solutions across domains by partnering with stakeholders and document details for the build.
• Break down partner stories into backlog items for developers and ensure understanding.
• Maintain business process documentation for traceability.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete and stored properly.
• Collaborate with other analysts and Scrum teams for consistency in processes and documentation.
• Provide functional design specs for new development and major enhancements.
• Work with designers to create interfaces that satisfy business requirements and standards.
• Work with testing teams to develop and maintain test scripts for load and regression testing.
• Provide acceptance criteria for requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Review and remediate defects from regression and load testing.
