Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to partner closely with Product Owners . In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical execution teams to modernize core back-office systems, streamline business processes, and support data-driven decision-making across our global retail and distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Owner Partnership & Agile Execution:
- Partner with the Product Owner to decompose high-level business capability roadmaps into epic features, detailed user stories, and actionable acceptance criteria (Gherkin/Given-When-Then format).
- Actively lead and participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Serve as a functional subject matter expert during development sprints to clarify requirements for engineering and QA teams.
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR):
- Map current-state ("As-Is") back-office workflows and design optimized future-state ("To-Be") standard operating procedures across finance, accounting, procurement, and supply chain operations.
- Identify process bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and cross-functional dependencies across corporate and field/store operations.
- Back-Office System & Data Integration:
- Translate financial and operational needs into functional specifications for enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, or similar).
- Work with technical architects to map data flows, system integration touchpoints, and master data management (MDM) requirements between store systems and back-office financial ledgers.
- Testing, Readiness & Change Management:
- Define End-to-End (E2E) testing scenarios and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution with business stakeholders.
- Support organizational change enablement by contributing to training documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and release notes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large-scale enterprise software implementations or back-office digital transformations.
- Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates with experience in Retail, Wholesale Distribution, Automotive Aftermarket, or Multi-Site Operations.
- Agile Proficiency: Hands-on experience working in Scrum/SAFe environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
- Technical & Functional Domain Expertise:
- Functional understanding of core back-office operations: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Inventory Control.
- Experience working with major enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Process Modeling: Proficiency with process mapping software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).
- Core Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, exceptional business communication, and the ability to build alignment among cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Business Analyst (CSBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or PMI-PBA certification.
- Direct experience with Oracle Cloud ERP modernizations or large retail back-office consolidations.
