Job description

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 1 day onsite/week)

Key Responsibilitie

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Develop AS-IS and TO-BE process flows, workflow diagrams, user stories, use cases, and UI mockups
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and JAD sessions
• Create functional specifications, data mappings, system interaction diagrams, and test cases
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist with IT procurements by preparing Statements of Work (SOW), procurement packages, and vendor documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, QA teams, procurement, legal, and business stakeholders
• Participate in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid SDLC projects and provide project documentation and status updates

Required Skill

• 5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience supporting IT projects, system implementations, or technology procurements
• Strong knowledge of business/data process analysis methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience gathering and documenting business, data, and functional requirements
• Expertise in documenting AS-IS & TO-BE processes, workflow diagrams, and UI mockups
• Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW) and procurement documentation
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams

Preferred Skill

• Experience with government or public-sector IT projects
• Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and vendor management
• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Visio, SharePoint, Balsamiq, or similar tools
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and business process improvement
• CBAP certification preferred
