Job summary

AFRY USA seeks a Senior Building Systems Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for new facilities and upgrades. You will supervise a team of engineers, coordinate multi-discipline design, and ensure drawings and specifications meet AFRY quality standards and code requirements.

In-office presence is required. Requirements include a Bachelor's in architectural or mechanical engineering, 10+ years in building mechanical engineering, PE license, and US work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Building Mechanical Engineering.
• PE license required; must have right to live and work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer for projects with oversight of staff, budget, and schedule across multiple design stages.
• Prepare proposals and marketing materials outlining project scope and activities.
• Establish project scope, budgets, and design approach.
• Meet with clients for preliminary planning and concept development.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and client satisfaction.
• Design building mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) per codes and AFRY standards.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Visit project sites to collect data and observe progress.
• In-office presence required.
