Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Lead Building Engineer in Denver to monitor complex building system operations across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related disciplines. You will oversee preventive maintenance, ensure code compliance, and manage energy programs while coordinating with contractors and clients to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• Additional HVAC/electrical/mechanical certifications highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety, and codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assign work orders and estimate time/materials; maintain inventory.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
• Ensure building operations comply with codes and safety directives.
• Develop an energy management program for efficient operation.
• Oversee outside contractors and respond to inquiries from clients and staff.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure performance targets.
• Coach team members and model CBRE values.
