Job summary

Callaway Golf Company, headquartered in Carlsbad, is seeking a Senior Building Maintenance Engineer to own and optimize the site’s mechanical, electrical, and HVAC infrastructure. You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, lead complex troubleshooting, and manage capital improvements for reliability and energy efficiency.

The role requires strong experience with central plant systems, BMS, CMMS, and data-driven maintenance planning, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• > High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• < Minimum 8 years maintaining commercial/industrial/R&D facility infrastructure.
• < 5+ years advanced experience with HVAC/central plant systems.
• < Vocational training in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Controls preferred.
• < EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred; SMA/FMP/CFM preferred.
• < OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor HVAC performance and optimize systems and energy efficiency.
• Lead asset management in CMMS and manage contractor work.
