Job summary

GPI, a multi-discipline engineering firm, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical building systems for a variety of facilities across the United States. You will prepare calculations, specifications, and reports while coordinating with a wide project team.

You will develop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and life-safety designs, and mentor junior staff while advancing sustainable design goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Strong knowledge of building and electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• EIT preferred; PE license or ability to obtain is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building systems for diverse facilities.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, construction documents, and reports.
• Develop power, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and life-safety designs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams.
• Participate in client meetings, site investigations, and construction administration.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to support project delivery.
