Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks an Electrical Engineer to design building electrical systems for a variety of facilities across the United States.

You’ll create power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and life-safety designs while coordinating with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams. With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience, you’ll apply knowledge of building codes and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license or ability to obtain is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building systems for various facilities (commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, educational, government).
• Prepare electrical calculations, technical specifications, construction documents, and reports.
• Develop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and life-safety designs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and civil teams.
• Participate in client meetings, site investigations, and construction administration activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while supporting project delivery goals.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions that improve building performance and energy efficiency.
