Job summary

JLL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems in Chandler/Mesa, AZ. You will implement maintenance programs and drive reliability-based practices to maximize uptime.

You will supervise engineers, manage contractors, and oversee safety training while maintaining infrastructure documentation and regulatory compliance. This role offers growth through exposure to complex facilities and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of facilities-related work experience with 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and construction planning/execution.
• Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, mechanical/electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and CMMS systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation and maintain HVAC and building systems such as boilers, pumps and piping.
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training and performance management.
• Ensure inventory of tools and supplies through PO generation and stock checks.
• Identify safety hazards and implement remediation and safety training.
• Oversee contractor activities and CFWA process; maintain drawings and regulatory records.
