Job summary

McKinstry is hiring a Building Performance Analyst in Seattle, WA, to advance decarbonization across building portfolios. You will model energy use, analyze utility data, and work with multidisciplinary teams from concept design through construction to meet project goals.

Required: 5+ years in engineering design or related field, and proficiency with energy modeling tools such as IES VE or EnergyPlus. Strong written and verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Five years of engineering design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in communicating complex topics to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on existing building energy performance, benchmarking and weather regression.
• Analyze utility usage patterns to establish baselines and track decarbonization reductions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to set project goals and achieve them.
• Develop decarbonization roadmaps for buildings, portfolios, and campuses.
• Create energy models and calculations for new construction and existing buildings.
