Job summary

McKinstry in Baltimore, MD seeks a Building Energy Specialist to lead on-site surveys, evaluate existing building systems, and develop an Asset Database and client reports to support energy efficiency initiatives.

You will analyze energy use data from facilities, benchmark against standards, and contribute to consulting projects while staying current with industry trends and regulations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
• High-level understanding of commercial buildings HVAC, lighting, controls and envelope desirable.
• Experience in energy management, HVAC commissioning, and/or data analysis.
• Hands-on operator-level experience with building automation systems desired.
• Experience with client-facing project delivery preferred.
• Experience working in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in multiple on-site field surveys and evaluate existing building systems.
• Analyze relevant data and perform database entry; develop Asset Database and Client Reports.
• Provide direction on projects and oversee individual project work; follow up consulting.
• Analyze energy use data from facilities and benchmark against local and national standards.
