Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for our Building & Construction team, primarily in West Palm Beach with possible remote options. The role focuses on managing complex projects involving building envelope systems such as windows, storefronts, and curtain walls. Travel up to 15% may be required.

You will lead project teams, perform engineering analyses, and develop technical solutions while ensuring conformance with codes and standards. Qualified candidates reside in the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience applying engineering principles to building components and systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and client commitments

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for building product projects, including project management and leading project teams.
• Conduct research of building codes, regulations, product standards, and QC systems.
• Develop product test plans based on research findings.
• Communicate with clients on building codes, test procedures, results, and audits.
• Perform engineering analysis of test results to assess product performance.
• Create reports of product evaluations substantiating conformance with codes and standards.
• Provide supervision to lower-level engineering staff.
• Represent Intertek in industry associations and standards committees.
