Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for the Building & Construction team in York, PA, with possible locations nationwide. The role involves managing complex projects on building envelope systems, including windows, curtain walls and doors, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or similar).
• Minimum 5 years in building design, envelope systems, facade engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with FE exam and path to PE within 24 months.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, codes, standards and technical documentation.
• Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and client commitments.
• Ability to communicate engineering requirements clearly to clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead building product projects, manage project teams and client commitments.
• Research codes, regulations, product standards and QC systems for compliance.
• Develop product test plans based on research findings.
• Communicate with clients on codes, testing, audits and reporting.
• Perform engineering analysis of test results and assess product performance.
• Create comprehensive reports substantiating conformance with codes and standards.
• Supervise and guide lower-level engineers and staff.
• Represent Intertek in industry associations and standards committees.
