Job summary

Lerch Bates is seeking a Senior Building Envelope Engineer/Consultant to join our Building Science team. You will lead planning, evaluation, and delivery of complex building envelope consulting projects for new construction and major renovations.

You will mentor staff, review designs, and participate in charrettes, while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to technical standards across the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in building envelope consulting or related fields.
• Licensure (PE/RA/AIA) preferred; advanced credentials valued.
• Strong knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, air barriers, and cladding.
• Experience with design reviews, field testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure projects for new construction and major renovations.
• Perform third-party design reviews focusing on air, water, and vapor control.
• Develop BOD, BECx plans, specs, and technical recommendations.
• Manage projects, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
