Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions Local is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for a facility, campus, or portfolio. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and ensure timely, high-quality work.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs, estimate material and labor costs, manage budgets, and respond to emergencies while applying advanced knowledge to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred and ability to manage staff.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem solving and conceptual skills; innovative mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills and numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Track staff training, conduct evaluations, and manage recruitment.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set schedules, and deadlines.
• Develop and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
• Ensure technicians have required information and materials to complete work.
• Estimate material and labor costs for work orders and projects.
• Establish and maintain maintenance budgets.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed.
• Share expertise and mentor others across disciplines.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE values.
• Support cross-discipline objectives and contribute to new processes.
