Job summary

Action Property Management is seeking a full-time Chief Building Engineer for the Los Angeles area. This role oversees daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies, and coordinates maintenance across mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, HVAC, and related systems.

The position requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting, plus strong communication and a 24/7 emergency readiness mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience preferably in property management, hospitality or commercial property management.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
• Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems including mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC and water circulation system.
• Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors.
• Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program.
• Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvements to building systems, including control software.
