Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Building Operations Engineer to maintain and repair building systems at a White Plains, NY site. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and security systems, ensuring continuous operation and tenant safety.

The role requires after-hours availability and coordination with external contractors. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of building operations experience, a High School Diploma, and a CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CFC certification (high pressure) is required.
• 5+ years of building operations engineering experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills; valid licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building operating systems on site.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Respond to tenant requests for safety and environmental needs.
• Prepare maintenance logs; use work order systems.
• Coordinate contractors and outside vendors; manage work orders.
• Ensure safety of tenants and continuous site operation.
• Assist in snow/ice clearing and site procedures as needed.
