Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Building Enclosure Staff Associate to join our Midwest Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will support building enclosure consulting projects while developing foundational skills in field investigations, testing, analysis, and report preparation.

Work with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate building envelope performance, assist with drawings/CAD, and contribute to field observations, testing protocols, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB) or related field.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Certifications may be required; EIT and IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and building enclosure systems with guidance from senior staff.
• Assist with drawings, figures, and CAD work when needed.
• Assist with specialized building enclosure testing and testing protocols.
• Document site observations and prepare field reports describing findings and conditions.
• Assist with analysis of field observations and testing results to support project conclusions.
• Develop familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC and local codes related to building enclosure systems.
