Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Franklin, TN is seeking a Building Enclosure Principal to lead the Southeast Building Science & Infrastructure team. You will guide building enclosure investigations, assessments, commissioning, testing, and design consulting while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with architects, engineers, and owners.

The role focuses on project management, technical execution, and delivering practical consulting solutions across diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 12+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified in at least one of: P.E., R.A., IIBEC (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP), UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure projects from setup through closeout.
• Provide technical leadership and peer review of reports and field work.
• Mentor junior staff and Associate Principals.
• Manage client relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality deliverables.
