Job summary

Kiewit Architecture & Engineering seeks Building Design Managers/Project Managers to join our Industrial Building A&E team. You will lead multi-discipline designers and engineers from concept through construction, coordinating among architects, mechanical, electrical, and BIM specialists to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 10+ years in design/PM for industrial buildings, with strong leadership and a PE/RA license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering required or equivalent.
• 10+ years of design/PM experience on building projects; 7+ years in building design and 3+ years in PM leadership.
• PE or RA license preferred; multi-discipline industrial building design experience essential.
• Experience with Design Build and EPC delivery models; leadership of technical resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead the building project team and interface with project management, engineering leads, and stakeholders.
• Set productivity, quality, schedule, and budget expectations; monitor metrics and implement recovery plans.
• Support project initiation and development in both estimating and execution phases.
• Manage staffing to support projects and develop the team.
• Coordinate design reviews and technical coordination across disciplines to meet milestones.
• Oversee procurement, construction, client relations, and project controls; maintain schedules through commissioning.
• Forecast project manpower needs and define project schedules and document control metrics.
• Drive DB and EPC mindset and ensure contract requirements align with estimates.
