Job summary

Kiewit Corporation in Lenexa, KS is seeking Senior Building Design Managers/Project Managers to lead multi-discipline teams from concept to construction in the Industrial sector. You will interface with proposal teams, manage contracts, and drive estimating, productivity, and on-time delivery within budget.

You will guide engineering disciplines, coordinate with procurement and project controls, and ensure strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering required. Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant design/PM experience leading building projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the building project team with interface to project management, engineering discipline leads, and stakeholders.
• Set expectations for productivity, quality, milestones, and budget; monitor metrics and implement recovery plans.
• Support project initiation and development in both estimate and execution phases; ensure projects set up for success.
• Manage project staffing to support each project and develop the team.
• Drive communication within the project team and with procurement, client, and management.
• Lead design reviews and technical coordination between disciplines to meet milestones.
• Attend weekly coordination meetings and project controls reviews.
• Forecast project manpower needs and define/own project schedules and document control metrics.
• Drive the Design-Build and EPC mindset on the project team.
