Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Building Controls Technician in Houston to advance building automation projects, upgrade hardware and software, and program DDC systems. The role works independently to meet project requirements with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include designing sequence of operations, commissioning, testing, training owners, documenting work, and coordinating with contractors. This position requires travel up to 25% and may involve government clearance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems.
• Niagara N4 certification required.
• Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans.
• Program projects with various levels of complexity and test DDC systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration, graphics and operations.
• Commission and test system functionality; startup new hardware.
