Job summary

CPG is seeking a Controls Technician III in Houston, TX to monitor and troubleshoot automated control systems across mission critical facilities. You will install, configure, and maintain software tools, collaborate with technicians and contractors, and ensure operational integrity of site infrastructure.

The role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Travel up to 25% may be required and US citizenship is noted in related postings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years in Control System/BAS/BMS service and repair.
• Experience with data center infrastructure including HVAC and electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with Ignition, Aveva, Rockwell, Siemens and related instrumentation; knowledge of BAS/BMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced expertise maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing building automation systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment across mission critical facilities.
• Install, configure, test and maintain application software and system management tools.
• Mentor less skilled technicians and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Oversee site infrastructure components to ensure operational integrity.
• Participate in test and commissioning phases for programming validation.
