Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Senior Building Controls Technician to lead programming, startup, and commissioning of building automation systems. You will design hardware/software, configure sequences, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Travel up to 25% and work primarily on site in assigned buildings, with responsibilities spanning documentation, training, and system integration.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems.
Niagara N4 certification is required.
Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans and specs.
Program projects with varying levels of complexity and perform network/database troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration, graphics, and sequences of operations.
Develop and configure operations sequences and integrations into third-party systems.
Maintain project documentation and redlines; provide owner training as needed.
Execute system commissioning and functional testing; assist in installation of control hardware.
Startup and commission new hardware installations; supervise subcontractors as needed.
Provide project management assistance and interface with customers.
