Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Building Automation Solutions Sales Manager to lead a team delivering smart building technology across Columbus and Cincinnati regions. You will expand relationships, mentor sales staff, and drive digitalization initiatives while aligning bids with customer goals.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC/building automation sales, 3+ years in sales management, and strong communication. Travel ~10% for training and business development. Office locations: Cincinnati or Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience within the commercial HVAC controls/building automation industry.
• 3+ years of sales management experience within the commercial HVAC controls/building automation industry.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areas.
• Act as a resource to sales employees regarding our products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including job turnover and implementation.
• Communicate goals, provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals and coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and identify customer buying priorities.
• Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives. Assist employees in setting margins, identifying resources, assessing future business, and establishing executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customers.
• Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens divisions to gain knowledge of offerings, share knowledge with your team and other employees, and develop sales forecasts and provide input to sales targets.
• Assist the sales team in identifying market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact to the company. Participate in development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies.
• Articulate and drive our digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics and maintain trade contacts and participate in industry association functions.
• Travel overnight 10% on average for training and business development.
