Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Building Automation Systems/Project Manager for the Columbus, OH area. The role requires 2+ years PM experience in building automation or 6+ years as a project engineer, with knowledge of HVAC, BMS, or security systems.

You will lead project teams, manage contracts, scheduling, and safety, reporting to Operations/Construction/Program managers, and ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery. Salary range USD 101,600–152,400 per year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Project Manager in building automation, HVAC controls, and/or construction industries or 6+ years as Project Engineer or related roles.
• Knowledge of BACnet/LON/MODBUS protocols.
• PM development program preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform in high-pressure environments with customers, teammates, and peers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Office 365, file structure, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for financial management on all assigned projects.
• Prepares installation subcontractor bidding documents, descopes and negotiates subcontracts; manages schedule, change orders, and billings.
• Responsible for all customer-facing communication.
• Subcontractor management, scheduling, planning and tracking.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of employees and subcontractors; create site safety plans and conduct site audits.
• Plan, schedule, forecast manpower and resources; prepare a Project Execution Plan for leadership approval.
• Maintain project documentation (RFI’s, minutes, punch lists, logs).
• Prepare revenue forecasts, values, and billings; deliver final documentation and collect payment.
