Schneider Electric in Columbus, OH seeks a Building Automation Systems/Project Manager with 2+ years in project management in building automation or 6+ years in related roles. You will lead project teams to deliver HVAC controls, BMS, and security projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
You will coordinate subcontractors, manage communications with clients, and oversee project documentation, schedules, and costs while driving efficiency and safety across site
This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 2 plus years’ as project manager in the building automation or 6+ years’ experience as a project engineer, or combined years of system application engineering or technician experience.
This position plans, directs and coordinates activities of project teams to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with all company and site safety requirements, accomplished on time, implemented at or below the estimated cost, and billed in a timely fashion throughout the duration of the project.
Project managers must have construction industry knowledge, strong communication skills, strong understanding of contracting procedures and experience with responsibilities such as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of changes and claims, negotiation and subcontract and vendor management.
This individual should have an understanding of HVAC, BMS, and/or security systems as well as practical understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and standards.
They must exhibit strong leadership skills including directing activity of team members and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility. Project managers report to the Operations Manager, Construction Manager or a Program Manager in larger operations teams.
For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
