Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Project Manager - Building Controls in the United States. This role oversees construction and retrofit building automation projects, coordinating with contract documents, estimates, and billing while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project management and 5+ years in the controls industry, with strong leadership and knowledge of HVAC control systems.

Qualifications

• This position is typically held by an individual with 3+ years in a Project Management role and 5+ years in the controls industry.
• Strong customer service skills and understanding of contracting procedures and subcontract administration.
• Advanced understanding of HVAC control systems and the ability to analyze control drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources by planning, scheduling and forecasting manpower and resource requirements.
• Coordinate project in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimate.
• Maintain all project documentation, including RFIs, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal and submittal logs, change orders and issues log.
• Prepare project billing revenue forecasts and schedules of values.
• Review estimates and change orders for accuracy and approve submittals.
• Be accountable for financial management on assigned projects.
• Prepare subcontractor bidding documents and negotiate subcontracts.
• Obtain and maintain all project contract documents per Schneider Electric policy.
• Prepare and update project schedules and cost estimates.
• Deliver final project documentation to the customer and collect payment.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders.
