Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Building Automation Lead Field Technician to lead BAS field teams on critical data center projects. You will oversee installation, startup, testing and commissioning, coordinating with PMs, engineers and vendors to ensure seamless operation and client acceptance.

The role requires hands-on installation experience, knowledge of Distech and Niagara platforms, and the ability to travel up to 75% to project locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent field experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, BAS platforms and electrical systems.
• Experience with field installation, testing and commissioning of BAS controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead BAS field teams for installation, startup, testing and closeout on data center projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients to ensure proper operation and acceptance.
• Manage on-site safety, scheduling, RFIs and documentation.
