Job summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Specialist to oversee BAS systems in commercial properties. You will monitor BAS components and coordinate with managers, tenants, and facilities teams to maintain safe, comfortable environments.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance and commissioning tests, collaborating with architects, engineers, and vendors, and making data-driven recommendations to improve performance and reduce operating costs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BAS components for HVAC, plumbing, electricity, computer networking, lighting, and security.
• Collaborate with building managers, tenants, and visitors to ensure safety and comfort in the building.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to maintain or upgrade building features and capacities.
• Work with BAS vendors and solutions to use data from BAS components to improve performance or reduce operating costs.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and Commissioning tests on complete automation systems.
• Make recommendations for systems upgrades and efficiency of operations.
