Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Specialist to support BAS equipment and technologies within facilities including Federal properties.

You will monitor BAS components across HVAC, electrical, and security systems, interact with managers, tenants, and vendors to ensure safety and comfort inside the building, and work with engineers and contractors to maintain or enhance building performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of multiple brands of Building Automation Hardware and Software.
• 5 years Tridium Niagara integration experience.
• 5 years hands on troubleshooting and diagnostics of proprietary and non-proprietary control systems.
• Recent experience working on US Federal Properties, Projects, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring BAS components for HVAC, plumbing, electricity, computer networking, lighting, and security.
• Working with building managers, tenants, and visitors to provide a safe and comfortable experience inside the building.
• Working with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to maintain or expand the building’s features and capacities.
• Collaborating with BAS vendors and solution to use the data from BAS components to improve a building’s performance or reduce its operating cost.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and Commissioning tests on complete automation systems.
• Make recommendations for systems upgrades and efficiency of operations.
