Job summary

Canonical is seeking an engineer to help drive Launchpad, an open-source develop­ment platform used by major OSS projects. You will contribute Python backend work, review code, and collaborate across distributed teams. This remote role is based in the EMEA region and involves occasional travel to events.

You’ll join a mature Python/web stack (Zope/Flask) and help modernise packaging and development flows while keeping services reliable and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Proactive collaboration on design, architecture and feature selection for distributed teams.
• Production-quality, API-first Python code with unit tests.
• Debug issues and provide high-quality fixes.
• Review code written by other engineers.
• Ability to work from home with international travel 2–4 times a year.
