Canonical is hiring Python Developers to work across teams and contribute to open-source software. This general track role supports projects running on servers, Kubernetes, desktops, and web services for Ubuntu clients, with opportunities to engage with the wider open-source community.

Remote roles in every time zone; you will write maintainable Python, collaborate with a distributed team, and participate in company events twice a year.

Formación

• Strong Python development experience with well-documented code.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Professional written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Write high-quality, well-designed and well-tested Python software.
• Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team.
• Display technical leadership at Canonical and in our communities.
• Debug issues and produce high-quality code to fix them.
• Contribute to technical documentation with the aim to make it the best of its kind.
• Work from home with global travel twice a year for company events.
