Rocket Lab is rapidly developing its launch vehicle capabilities with Electron launching 16 times in 2024 and targeting 20+ launches in 2025 as well as developing the Neutron medium lift launch vehicle.

This role will support the development, build, test and deployment of all vehicle , ground and simulation software across both Electron and Neutron.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

Launching a rocket and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Software drives every aspect of this, and Rocket Lab has a large number of complex software products. This role will support the development, build, test and deployment of all vehicle , ground and simulation software across both Electron and Neutron. To excel in this role you will need to balance a deep technical understanding of software build, test and deployment processes for a distributed embedded system with the ability to work with many stakeholders to find best-for-business solutions.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a software development environment with major focus on build, continuous integration and deployment of software.
  • Experience with embedded software development and associated tools.
  • Linux and Windows system administration
  • Experience with Git, Redmine, Jira
  • Experience with Team City, GitLab CI or other build system
  • Experience with make, Bazel, cmake, automake

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with web and software build deployment
  • Network Security
  • Project Management
  • Ansible
