Job Description
· Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering from accredited institution, Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
· Position requires 15 - 20+ years minimum experience in Civil/Structural engineering related to the new construction and / or retrofit of heavy industrial facilities and hydro dam balance of plant projects.
· Detailed knowledge and use of engineering design principles, competent in structural steel and concrete design and proficiency with structural codes (AISC Design Manual, ASCE 7, and ACI 318), standards, and industry methodologies.
· Proficiency with STAAD, PCA MATS, ANSYS is a plus, MathCAD or Excel and AutoCAD.
· Experience issuing project specifications and working with a designer to create design drawings.
Special Notes
· Daily tasks will be working with a Civil Design Lead and a designer by performing calculations on industrial structures which may include pipe support structures, platform layout designs and calculations, hydro infrastructure equipment supports, designing shallow footing and deep foundation calculations to support tanks and other large equipment such as pumps, transformers, etc. MULTIPLE POSITIONS MAY BE FILLED WITH THIS POSTING.
