Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to oversee MCW's Budget function within Financial Planning and Analysis and to manage the annual budget process.

You will supervise a team of financial analysts, partner with the Associate Director of Budget on strategic priorities, and ensure accurate, timely budget deliverables across clinical and research departments in a complex academic medical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
• 7–10 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; finance/accounting background ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation for the annual budget cycle with system configuration and calendar development.
• Direct budget support for complex departments and supervise analysts.
• Serve as primary budget contact and escalation point.
• Proactively measure and report key business trends affecting financial results.
• Direct ad hoc analyses for cost savings and revenue optimization.
• Partner with departments to develop innovative financial solutions.
• Review and interpret budget submissions and recommend actions.
• Provide training and guidance on budget systems.
• Monitor initiative success and drive system enhancements.
