Job summary

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education is hiring an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance to lead budgeting, fiscal analysis and reporting for the system. The role oversees staff, coordinates with institutional officers and state agencies, and ensures compliance with fiscal policies and reporting timelines.

Responsibilities include developing budgets, analyzing financial data, and supporting performance funding and capital reporting while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, public administration, business administration or related field.
• At least five (5) years of progressively responsible budget, finance or fiscal analysis experience in higher education or public sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with financial modeling and large data analysis; strong Word/PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection, review and analysis of institutional budgets, revisions and allocations.
• Serve as a point of contact for institutional business officers on fiscal reports and annual budget summaries.
• Develop and maintain fiscal data sets, models, dashboards and reporting tools for system-wide information.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and training for professional and administrative staff.
• Represent the Fiscal Division in internal and external meetings and assist the AV Chancellor as needed.
