Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of municipal government organization, functions, and budget processes.
• Experience applying budget and management analysis principles, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to research and analyze operational, statistical, and financial data.
• Ability to interpret laws, rules, and proposals affecting departmental programs and policies.
• Ability to communicating facts and recommendations clearly while maintaining effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Attend budget hearings and present the justification for budget recommendations.
• Guide development of work programs and expenditure schedules.
• Analyze and make recommendations on supplementary appropriations and transfers.
• Review departmental structure, allocations, and personnel utilization related to budget programs.
• Conduct studies to identify efficiency improvements across departments.
• Explain and advise on budget directives to departmental officials and ensure compliance.
