Job summary

TALENT Software Services is hiring a BSP (Kernel / QNX) Software Engineer for an onsite role in Portland, OR. Role is a possible 3-month contract-to-hire with immediate availability. Work involves kernel and QNX software from bootloader to OS, in an IFE seat-box environment.

The candidate will collaborate with hardware, platform software, Android, and validation teams in an Agile/DevOps setting. Strong C/C++, Python, and embedded Linux skills are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Infotainment systems based on Qualcomm SoCs.
• Familiarity with QNX Hypervisor.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Wireless technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi) and satellite connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Linux kernel and device driver development, debugging, and testing.
• Board bring-up and hardware bring-up tasks.
• Optimize system performance and memory usage.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python; script skills.
• Agile/DevOps collaboration; CI/CD and test automation.
