Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Senior Embedded BSP Software Engineer in Portland, OR (onsite) to join a technology-focused aerospace/aviation team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain kernel/QNX software for next-generation In-Flight Entertainment seat boxes, collaborating across hardware, platform software, Android, and validation teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, Python, and board bring-up skills, plus experience with Agile/DevOps and

Qualifications

10+ years of embedded software development experience.
Experience with Linux kernel and/or device driver development.
Board bring-up and boot process understanding.
Proficient in C/C++ and Python; scripting for automation.
Familiar with QNX Hypervisor and OS concepts; security updates.
Experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with test automation and performance benchmarking.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain Kernel and QNX software for next-generation In-Flight Entertainment seat boxes.
Develop and test high-quality client software applications in embedded systems based on functional and system specifications.
Enhance existing software to optimize performance to meet KPIs, improve efficiency, and bolster robustness.
Collaborate with hardware, platform software, Android, and system integration/validation teams to enable and support QNX-based platform functionality from bootloader through OS and device driver layers.
Own quality through comprehensive test plans and procedures, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance benchmarking, plus rigorous code reviews.
