Job summary

WSP is seeking a Bus Rapid Transit Project Engineer for our South Florida, DC, and Boston offices. You will act as a designer on BRT projects from concept to construction, providing technical support and project management.

Join a nationwide team with opportunities to travel, collaborate with transit agencies, and grow technical leadership. A PE license with 7–15 years of BRT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline (roadway, site design, traffic engineer).
  • P.E. License with 7 to 15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
  • Experience working with transit agencies and department of transportations.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical support and Project Management on projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
  • Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
  • Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
  • Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
  • Management of technical staff.
